I was starting to get excited that I had found my first DDO when I did some research and found out this is called Mechanic Doubling. Sorry for the poor pics. MDD to the right of the numbers in the date and mint mark. Back to searching.

More appropriately refered to as " Machine Doubling" - using "mechanical" or "mechanic" in numismatic terms is inappropriate.

Whoops! Thanks for the correction coppercoins. I do remember seeing Machine Doubling mentioned here several times.

Here's a webpage where I got the "M' word from. They have a wonderful example of the 1969S Machine Doubling towards the bottom. My coin would look just like it if not in bad shape. If anyone is interested for future reference, check it out.
