Poll Question
I have a dilemma. I am getting a good sized collection from CRHing and am torn on how to store my coins. There are many directions I can go. I just want to know how you came to decide on how you store your collections. Your input is greatly appreciated!

95% of my collection is inexpensive world coins since I like to collect One From Every Country. 2x2's are the easiest and cheapest way for me to store them

Coins I care about go in 2x2's, so that's what I voted for. Coins I don't really care about go in albums.

Here in this country, we don't have these "air-tites" of which you speak, so I've never tried them. They sound bulky.

What's CRHing?

I have a very large collection of coins with nominal values. For me everything except crowns go into 2x2s.

I like Albums. I have found it to be a compact, organized and attractive way to display the coins.

It also serves as a check list for me (open holes) that give me goals and direction for my continued search.

I join Mint Marq in his choice and for all the same reasons. One of the pleasures I get from this hobby is sharing my sets or collections with my family and close friends. Albums, all Dansco, fill the bill for me. I do have some of my coins that are not part of sets in 2X2s and two smaller sets in Capital holders.

I voted for Albums. I have over 100 Whitman Classic Albums. Also, 9 of those Whitman red cardboard boxes with two rows for 2x2's and all full. Also, virtually hundreds of plastic rolls of coins. Then naturally there are several boxes of just coins. I like the Albums best since you can readily see all the coins in that set without any digging.

Like Graceoutcast I have most of my coins in 2xs's. Airtight holders are great for more expensive coins but, I prefer to call them slabs, because most slabs are not 100% airtight. I don't use albums, I collect too many different series' to fill albums, and these are the least "airtight" of all storage options. I would give you advise on how to store your collection but I have no idea what "CRHing" means? -PP

Personally I like albums for my nice coins. My extras might go into folders as extra sets. Like graceoutcast, I use 2x2s for most of my world coins.

Albums provide double sided viewing, and ease of upgrading individual coins. Extras of coins in good shape are kept in 2X2s in 3 ring binders (set #2), or in the boxes like just carl suggested. Also, having your coins in albums provides an easy means to determine what coins you need to complete a set. Nothing like the completed set!

I store most of my collection now in 2x2's but I also store a big part of my collection in Coin World Premier Coin Holders. I really like them and will probable convert all my coins over to them in the future.

I use 2x2 mylar flips. For my better coins I heat seal the flips to stop the coins moving. The flips are then stored in 3 Ring 20 to a page so far after 10 years of doing this no adverse effects. I was always scratching coins when I used staples and cardboard 2x2s...

Dansco albums for my US coin sets. I have some Dansco albums with 2x2 pages in them for miscellaneous coins, world coins and US coins that are not part of a set.

I don't have a large accumulation. But what I have are either in Intercept albums, intercept 2x2s or cardboard 2x2.

There's no beating airtites. I use it all for my Lincolns, airtites inside a 2x2, inside an album using plastic sheets for viewing. For Lincoln proofs, airtites are a MUST have.
