There is obvious sorting / Rolling Machine Damage that may have impacted the outside lettering, but that doesn't explain everything that is missing.

OK, I'll give it a shot. I see the coin wrapping damage on the obverse. I also see weak details and a ring around the field just inside the rim on both sides that I attribute to die wear. I don't really think this is struck thru grease.

The damage I mentioned above has been called coin counter damage alot but I always thought I saw this damage on the end coins of the paper shotgun rolls. I think it is coin wrapper damage from the mechanism that spins and rolls in the ends of the paper on these rolls. Has anyone else noticed this?
