I've got over 20 rolls of 1970-S Lincoln cents that I'm going through to see if I have any of the small date variety.
I've done several rolls and I feel like I'm seeing things (maybe my old eyes are tired).
Anyway, I've taken some pictures and I'm hoping someone can help me out. I have three different groups.
The first group, I initially thought that the two on the left were Large dates and the two on the right were Small.
However, when I see them here, I'm thinking they might all be Large dates.

Group 1:
1970-S-Lincoln-Cent-Small-Date?

Top Left:
1970-S-Lincoln-Cent-Small-Date?

Bottom Left:
1970-S-Lincoln-Cent-Small-Date?

Top Right:
1970-S-Lincoln-Cent-Small-Date?

Bottom Right:
1970-S-Lincoln-Cent-Small-Date?

Now here's Group 2, which I initially thought were all Small date. I now believe that only the top two are Small and the bottom two are Large:
1970-S-Lincoln-Cent-Small-Date?

and a close-up of Group 2:
1970-S-Lincoln-Cent-Small-Date?

Finally, here's Group 3, which I think the left 2 are Small and the right 2 are Large:
1970-S-Lincoln-Cent-Small-Date?

and a close-up of Group 3:
1970-S-Lincoln-Cent-Small-Date?

Also, how rare is the small date variety? I see Numismedia lists a G4 at $9 and they go up from there, so they must not be too common. I've had most of these since the early to mid-1980's and they've just been sitting in plastic tubes so I'm hoping that some of the 20 rolls are Small Dates.

Thanks for any input.
Rest in Peace

Not a one. I didn't even look at the date and could tell you right away. Know how? on the SD the BERTY is mushy and almost gone, even on an MS coin. Many other signs.

All are LD. It's a rare event to find them in the wild. We have folks here who have searched millions of circulated cents and haven't found one. SD 1960 cents are equally elusive, but perhaps less so. Once in a great while someone will post a find; an exciting find!

Yeah, the long 7 will help to identify these, Crazyb0. Thanks to both you and Coop!
Glad I posted this before I did any more rolls.
On the off chance I find a real one, I'll post it.
If I find a 70-S DDO, you'll hear me scream!
