I have 3 of the Cheerios pennies still in the plastic/cardboard that they came in. I know on
ebay a single one typically sells for $3 - $5. I was planning on putting these up for sale for $10 for all three. Then I saw a listing on
ebay (see below link) for a 2000
Close AM cent graded MS68RD by NGC. The seller is asking $2,099.88!

Now, I'm guessing he's not going to get that, but I have a question. Since the
Close AM is NORMAL on a 2000 cent, is there any difference in the
Close AM cents in the Cheerios package than a normal
Close AM cent? Is this really worth any more than your average MS68RD 2000
Lincoln Cent with a
Close AM that was NOT in a Cheerios package?
Why would NGC label it as "
Close AM 1C Cheerios Promotion" if there is no difference? I know the
Wide AM is the error.
Is this just another
ebay joke and they got NGC to participate?
My Google searches did not yield any helpful information on this subject so I'm turning to the experts here.
