Heritage's Signature Auction, which I believe is still part of the Long Beach Convention, had some major problems tonight. I was following some lots when, next thing, the screen just jumped ahead a few lots and, also, completely passed over some lots I was waiting for. This went on for some time, too.

Finally, I guess with enough complaints, HA halted the auction. They said they will redo it tomorrow evening, starting with the half-dimes.

Big money connected with these auctions so I'm glad they're going to do it right. I just wish they'd let me undo a purchase I made. Somehow, I got my fees mixed up and wound up overpaying more than I planned.

Yeah, I was bidding on some lots and got an email saying:

subject: US Coin auction Session 6 and 7 postponed - correction lots 7510 - 8088 will be reopened for bidding

Due to technical difficulties, Session 6 of Sunday night's Long Beach Expo US coins auction has been postponed until 5:00 PM CT tomorrow evening, Monday, February 26. We will begin bidding again with lot 7510.

Note: Lots 7510 - 8088 will be reopened in the interest of allowing those who were not able to bid to participate. If you have any bids, winning bids included, on these lots your bid will be maintained when bidding is reopened.

Additionally, we are rescheduling session 7 of the Long Beach auction, to 2:00 PM CT Tuesday, February 27.

Thank you for your patience, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Heritage Client Services

A few years ago, they had a glitch and I purchased 15 Morgans at $1 each.
They "undid" it for me.
Apparently their policy has changed.

Thanks for the reprint, Fuzzy317. I didn't get that. I did send HA an email requesting all my bids start at scratch again because, as I explained, if I'd had the opportunity to bid on my first choices, my bids would've gone differently.

Not too different here, Chute72. People often wait for the live auction to make their serious bids so there's always stuff going for 1/2 price in the prelims. The sellers sure would lose, though, and they keep the business going.

You are welcome ron6788. I make a prelim bid and only on RARE occasions do I follow the live action.
