I have a source trying to sell me a roll of 20 2013 silver eagles. I usually don't monkey around with modern coins but wanted to hear opinions on what folks normally pay for these.
Thanks a bunch! Any help is greatly appreciated!

$3 over spot each is a good price.
$2 over spot each is a great price.

Mike, You didn't say what he was offering them to you at, but as a data point you can currently get any quantity of random year bullion ASEs from SD Bullion for $1.69 over spot. That's around $368 for a 20 coin roll with spot at $16.71. Of course that's a cash/check/wire price and there would be shipping on top of it. With some patience, I've found that I can get bullion ASEs in roll quantities on ebay for around that $1.69 over spot using a CC and adding in the 1.5% cash back I get on the card (no ebay bucks on bullion, darn it, and I need to get one of those 2% cash back cards someday).

I just ordered some bullion rounds for spot + $0.49/ounce, so you for ASEs that's an outstanding deal. Just make sure they're real...

This is one of my pawn shop guys. He just wants to move stuff fast to a reliable source. I buy pretty much all of his coins. I'll go in tomorrow and offer $330. Unless silver spikes he will probably take it.

Considering spot right now is 16.59, he'd be taking a small loss at $330. Does the tube your pawnbroker is selling contain 20 coins? Also keep in mind that some of the big silver guys (like Sunshine Mint) make coins with the walking liberty design on the obverse, giving the appearance of an ASE. While legit, they're not ASEs.

Thanks Debra! I haven't picked them up yet. I'm a bit worried about how easy they are to flip. I'll have to inspect them. Seems like more of a bullion play unless they have great eye appeal. There are tons of them on listed on ebay. I'm not sure if that's a rabbit hole I want to go down. Do any of you folks have experience trying to resell them?

ASEs are extremely liquid because of their solid reputation. It makes the premium worth it to some.
