@bnb, first welcome to CCF. Second, we will need pics to be able to help you, but I do note that some so-called " Magician's coins" have one side as a cent and the other side as a dime. Typically you can see a seam where the two halves were joined, but again pics would be super-helpful.

to CCF. We will need photos,front and back as well as the edge if possible. Then we may need to know the weight also.You can have a cent on a dime planchet but not the other way around,not possible as a mint error. John1
Probably copper plated in a high school chemistry lab. experiment. I have about a dozen World coins plated in all metals, they are valued at less than if they were not plated.
