Now that is bad. It is so obvious and they keep on bidding?

Give it up Chase, there are an abundance of smucks only because there is an over-abundance of idiots. Too bad I'm just too honest, I might make a real profit on ebay.

The day the junk sells for a high price, means the real varieties are probably going cheap.

Well, what do you expect from GSC? Their pictures are usually edited/enhanced so that D might even be more prominent in hand!

Isn't there a variety also called the faint D on the 1922 series

There is a variety called a weak D, but I don't think this qualifies.

Yes there is a weak D variety but the heading clearly says No D.

There are three week D varieties. I don't know which one this is, and it might even be the obverse of the no deep die pair 2 before the final polishing that completely removed the mintmark before it was paired with the new reverse die. And frankly the current price does not strike me as being unreasonable for one of the weak D varieties if it's truly uncirculated.

Judging by the scratches and dings, This coin has circulated for at least a few years!

I would have given $10 for it and put it in my Dansco's 1922 plain hole.
