I'm reading about zinc rot right now. Is that what these would be?

Yes zinc rot is causing the plating to bulge upward.

Yes, looks like plating problems - all the silver you see is zinc rot showing through the plating.

Good idea - I just always wonder why the Government has test results that overexposure of Zinc can be cancerous to us humans but then they go make coins out of it? Yes copper plated but that plating doesn't last too long with circulation!

Split plating also happens on the Memorial. Caused by too much pressure during the strike.
