It took just under two years (mid-March 2016 to early March 2018) to complete a set of Jefferson nickels from CRHing. I found the last coin this afternoon: 1938s. Yay! The second-to-last coin (1950-D) I had found on New Year's Eve in 2016. In all, I found only one each of 1938-S, 1939-D, and 1950-D, and they were all in machine-wrapped rolls. Other coins for which I found fewer than ten coins are: 1938-D (6) 1939-S (6) 1942-S (3) 1943-D (7) 1944-S (4) 1945-D (5) 1950-P (8) 1951-S (9) Anyway, I'm glad to have finished the set. I know several of you have competed sets here. I'm happy to join the club! I have learned much from all the posts here. Thanks, everyone! Now I have to catch up with John77 on all of those V-Nickels and Buffalo nickels he keeps finding.

That's quite a feat in this day and age. How many rolls did you search, if I may ask?

Congrats! I've completed 4 sets since 2009. (that's about 2 years per set). Others have done it in less time so we must be just average?. I always recommend nickels to newbie collectors since sets can be assembled from roll searching with some perseverance. Again, Congrats to a job well done! Nice looking set!

Thanks, everyone! Quote: That's quite a feat in this day and age. How many rolls did you search, if I may ask? About 185 boxes, I would guess. Quote: Congrats! I've completed 4 sets since 2009.
