I noticed what looks like a die crack running along the roof line and the upper right cornice is doubled. Thoughts?

Very possible. The die has been heavily polished, but die crack are sometimes found on that area. The right cornice area that you see doubled, if probably MD. I've yet to see that area ever to show a DDR. A little project for yourself; Note the die scratches I mentioned? These are often seen more often on the MDS coins. Note the outside edge of the devices on AMERICA? They are full. The bays looks a bit over polished, but the die state is nice. You might want to mark this one to study later on. With so many later die state coins (probably or 60% of each dies run) it nice to see a better die state example. Not that it increase the value for you, but it will educate you.

Thanks coop, I do save articles as PDF and save images to reference folder and I am still trying to absorb all the information you and others share with me.

The URC is comparable to 1960 WDDR-017 (Class II) see link... but you are correct in that the vast majority of corner doubling occurs on the lower part of Lincoln's Memorial (wonder why?)

I noted on CC there were no DDR images and 1969-D's seem to have been passed over with the exception of DDR-001 on VV.

I found this URC doubled area as well as Floating Roofs quite often.

My goal is to call out anomalies if I can't find a reason to dismiss them outright in case it is something someone more knowledgeable than me thinks is worth preserving the coin.
