What kinda holder is it in?

Never quite seen one like that. It IS very possible that the token might not be gold as it doesn't have a standard bullion companys name nor was it minted by a government.

I'd grade it AU50

I believe these were genuine US Mint products, manufactured for payments to Saudi Arabia and containing the same amount of gold as the familiar British 1 Sovereign gold coins.

I think some of these might say "Aramco" which stands for Arab American Oil Company, or something like that. Apparently the Saudis preferred to be paid in gold for certain types of transactions.

If anyone has more information on this topic, please chime in. It's pretty interesting!
