As promised. I was quite surprised too; on Monday I asked them if I could place an prefer for a bundle (which they did shortly after), I arrived this morning and the teller told me that she had received the new ones, but that she was requested to make sure to distribute them to people (basically she politely said I couldn't get the bundle, but we compromised by halving it so I'm happy). It was the CIBC on Sherbrooke street in front of McGill University to any Montrealers interested.

Yeah, I'm planing on going this week to my branch in the Westisland , Montreal. But I wanted to get $1000 worth. Think I will have a issue..
And do you think they are searched and they keep the fancy serial numbers..

I received no interesting serial numbers, and the period was FTY. I was, however, shocked that the numbers weren't all Sequential, I'd give 6,7 but not 8 then 9, 0 then not 1, and so forth. I don't think they searched them, but it's possible.

Sounds exactly how the new "150" commemorative $10 were rolled out (no inserts) and extra prefixes to make up the slack (spoilage). for the most part I agree with this sentiment (95% of the time) though I also believe that it does happen from time to time since 2 digit radars will often be missing in bundles I've searched. 1/2 Bundles I've checked were rarely sealed & looked like they were counted

The nonsequential order of notes is now the new norm from the BoC. You will rarely get get 100 consecutive notes.

Picked up 2 bundles in GTA today (FTW prefixes) so they're out there now folks (though some banks are being very stingy on how many they'll release). IMO: Very nice design & only a Back Position Number (BPN) that I can find. Correct me if I'm wrong- but so far have not been able to detect a Front Position Number (FPN).

Picked up a few today. She took them from a bundle but they were from three different runs of numbers. When I went to spend one at kfc, the cashier looked at me and said "bro, are these even real?" Lol

Quote: I think Australia and maybe more already do this... (I put .... because my question mark button doesn't work) Although Australia is in the process of making new notes, the orientation has not changed. So far we have new $5, $10 and $50. A bit of extra info here: https://banknotes.rba.gov.au/austra...tes-program/
