Good day everyone, I have been searching all over the internet and the forums looking to see if a specific set of coin/currency pages have PVC. From the informative reading I have had here, these are not flimsy pages, they tend to crack more than bend, but it doesn't specifically say "PVC free." Any thoughts? Thank you kindly.

Either a phone call or an email should get an answer if they are still around.

if interested, I did a quick google and found their products page: http://www.unitradeassoc.com/CoinHolders.htm#upBut it's a bit hard to tell which these pages are, since not all items on their site have photos. And it does look like some of them have "PVC" if you just search for "PVC"...

On the bottom right of your photo it says vinyl . If I'm not mistaken vinyl is ok , no PVC .

If the pages are pretty stiff and tend to crack, that doesn't sound like PVC. But vinyl is PVC. On another note, I had some UniSafe folders years ago and they deposited the PVC slime on the Lincoln cents stored in them. Not sure if their newer products have been improved. Edit: forgot to you to the forum!

Thanks to you all for the welcome and replies. At the time of posting, I was just waiting to establish contact with them, so I figured someone on here may know the answer. As for an update in case others are curious, here is what I got from them Quote: The item in the picture attached and the various pockets options are still produced and carried in stock. We haven't had any issues that have been brought to our attention for the many, many years that we have been carrying these items. To answer your question though, the softer plastics used in our products, such as the pages in the attached photo are made from a PVCA. This is a form of PVC, but has a proprietary material that is used to protect the plastic. It's intended to stabilize the plastic to prevent leeching and protect the coin. This is also refereed to as Safe-guard plastic. It is the best way the plastic can be made for this purpose without it changing the material all together. I hope this helps.
Please note that the softer plastic items are more for short to medium time storage and not for valuable coins or currency just to be safe. If you are looking for something for longer storage, it is always best to store coins of value in hard plastic storages, such as coin capsules, coin tubes, or hard plastic bill holders. We also have acetate holders as well which are in between the hard and soft plastic.
