Hello, I have a standing liberty with No Date, however it does not appear to be a 1916 or 1917. I can tell because the hair curl is pointed down instead of up. It appears to be of a lager date but I can't find any information on a standing liberty no date later coin. Can anyone help me out? Do I have something rare or is this a common coin?

The dates wore off of other years besides 1916 and 1917 too. Yours is just a heavily worn later coin. Welcome and hope you hang around!

You actually can acid date silver coins, but the chemicals you would require are extremely dangerous and tough to handle. Overall, its not really worth it to even try on a type 2 slq.
