I was recently given the opportunity to count and roll up loose quarters for a business. I decided that I would see how many of the quarters issued between 1999 and 2018 I could find while going through this accumulation.

It was easy to spot the State Quarters among the Eagle and ATB reverses. One aspect of the ATB Quarters I didn't like was regardless of the design they all looked the same after a while. I attribute this to the "ring" of information that encircles the reverse.

While the Eagle reverse quarters were not my primary focus I did see some 1965 and 1967 ones as well as Bicentennial quarters. There was no shortage of Eagle reverse quarters in this group.

State Quarters were plentiful. I didn't tally how many for each state that would have been a massive undertaking. I found 49 out of the 50 for the original ten year program.

The 2009 DC and Territories were not often seen. I did find 3 out 6 though. These being DC, Northern Mariana Islands and Guam.

I saved the ATB Quarters for last as I haven't saved any nor really paid much attention to them other than what others have posted on this forum. I didn't expect to see many from the 2010 to 2012 years; I found 2 designs each of these years. 6 out of 15 or 40%.

I found all 5 designs issued in 2013, 2014 and 2015. I found 4 out of 5 in 2016 and 2017. None from 2018 as the first quarter was released in February.

Total ATB found 29 out of 41.

I occasionally looked at the obverse to see which mint struck a particular quarter. I didn't record the data though. I know without hesitation that I did not see any San Francisco minted coins.

I had fun looking through this bunch of quarters and look forward to doing it again in the future if asked to do so.

Sounds like fun.

Don't see many S mint coins here either. Somebody is hoarding them!

So what was the only missing state?

It was Idaho released in 2007.

The 2009 issues I didn't find were Guam, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands

I once did a camera CCTV install in a Video arcade. I was Paid My $600 fee in quarters, man was that hard to lug around I did check for silver, but found none, all were US too. This would have been around 1998-2000, certainly no where near a State Quarter hunt!
