I have a 1908 S one peso that shows s over s I thought. I wondered if other USPI coin collectors could check the image and let me know. It does not match what Allen or PCGS says a s over s is.

Also shouldn't there be a territorial coin section under US coins?

to the fourooms, pick your door!

Never thought of great of a demand for a separate section, that like V.I., Marianas, and Puerto Rico seem to get the attention they deserve as is...?

Nice pix, but, see you lost red in the resize(hate when that happens! Arrrgh!). I was trying to see more of the area close to rim, in same plane as MM. Being where mm is, and dependent on the die's state, those "anamolies" (for now) extending off corners of lower curve, could be die flow stress marks. The appear as Die Deterioration forces metal outwards. Or it maybe an unattributed minor RPM. First thought tho was die flow stress.

The US Philippines Coin Book by Lyman L. Allen, 6th edition has a picture listed #17.03a but the double S comes out of the right side. I have several like this That have it coming along the bottom, well something at least. Seems like 1908 at the SF mint was a sloppy year for them but a good coin collector year for us. Attached is a different 1908 S over S and the one PCGS accepts.
