Clashes happen on the fields of the coin. The marks on the face are coin damage. During a clash the highest devices are not affected:

@SB, the color doesn't look very off in your pics, maybe a little shiny out on the periphery near the inscriptions. I don't think that it is anything out of the ordinary and you can safely spend this coin.
