2002 P Dime With A Crack - Coin Community Forum

If it were a die crack on the 'E' area the crack would have been on the field an to tops of the devices. it is not. Just someone cut it with a box knife. What you have is damage on the coin, most likely by a razor blade. It is NOT a die crack or any form of mint error. Remember - die cracks are raised, while scratches are incuse.
