Can someone help me identify this ottoman coin? It has a date of AH 1223. It is 21mm in diameter and of silver. What is the denomination and possible value? Thank you.

Thanks, I don't have a way to weigh it. I was hoping that the 21mm diameter would help identify it.

The date on that coin is 1223, with a regnal year of 37 (around 1845 in the Gregorian calendar). Otherwise saying, this coin is from the 37th year of Mahmud II's reign. The problem with that is that Mahmud II only reigned for 32 years (he died in 1839), meaning your coin has an impossible date on it. Fictitious dates on these coins always means they are counterfeits.
