Hello all. I could really use your help with this. ANY guidance is appreciated. This was in with a bunch of religious medals my grandmother used to wear pinned inside her bra. Most of them were of Mother Mary, Jesus and St. Anthony. This one is TOTALLY unlike the rest, so I'm clueless.

First, welcome to CCF @MM416. Second, that is an interesting piece.

It looks home-made by carving out this design from a coin, token, or plain planchet. I see some Egyptian hieroglyphics on the second pic and see symbols for N - SH - R, but don't get a match for the other symbols using the quick online search that I did. That crown looks a little Sasanian.

I had a grandmother and a couple old aunts who used a safety pin and pinned them on not in the bra over the heart.
They did a lot of things that would be considered odd today.
Maybe it got washed a number of times.

THANK YOU SO MUCH TNG! And to all who took the time to post a reply. I have no idea why it stayed so clean, but I feel so complete now that I have an answer as to what it is! I feel as if she's speaking to me through the piece <3 Bless you :)
