Pretty sure it isn't a coin. Script is mimicking Arabic but isn't and design elements on 2nd side are just nonsensical symbols. Tourist copy of a coin maybe? Hadj coin?

These items are typically called "imitation Ottoman jewellery coins". "Belly Dancer coins" is another term, not entirely accurate but perhaps giving some indication of the intent of using it as costume jewellery. We have seen many different sizes and designs of them on the forum before; this one with the star has been seen numerous times. Here's one example that shows what they look like when still new. Here are a couple more.
