It has been quite a while since I have been on the forum. I finally took some PTO and decided to go through my jars of pocket change. I noticed this penny felt thinner on the bottom right edge than the rest of the coin. Then I looked closer and the top half of the coin looked like it was struck on the rim. I would love for you all to take a look and hear what you think about it.

If the die was tilted, it allows the metal to flow between the collar and the die, creating a fin like John1 mentioned. More of a premium if these are thin and sharp. But most of the time when they are found in circulation, they are already flattened like your coin.
