Sadly, it's a modern cast copy with no value at all.

Yes I figured it is a remake I also believe it's an official remake the Wilberty remake (Very strange reason wilberty remade this coin for but also genius I'll explain later)all except for that I think the wilberty wieghs 9.4 grams my coin weighs 7.7 20mm wide 25mm hieght Now in Ancient Greece they used the left over metal spit left over from the full size coins that where good and used for money So they would use the scrap metal spit that wasent big enuff and they would make smaller Athena owls that where just silver plated over other metals and used them for a strange reason they believed that you had to pay a tax when you die to cross over to the Greek god Styx that rowed back and fourth of the river carrying the dead spirits that couldent pay the after life tax stranaaaange so the Greeks would put these smaller replica coins in the burial vaults of the dead for this reason they where also given as gifts for keep sales correct me if I'm wrong but wouldent this be a form of being a collectible or one of the first known actual collectors items makes scence to me So now back the wilberty remake he remade this coin not to replicate full size all silver spendable Athena owl but to replicate the small collectible metal spit coins and yessss for the same reason he remade them as gifts to sell funeral vaults wowww creepy coincidence or pure genius what do yous think I don't know Now here's the thing wilberty made a box set of ten different Ancient Greek coins and the box had a corky creepy catch phrase on it to top it off they where made in the late 60s I think is what I read and given to people who bought burial vaults from his funeral service business in Chicago I'll post links Here is my question my coin looks like a wilberty coin but that means it also look like an original burial coin from Ancient Greece Now this is where the wieght of my coin is going to make the difference Wilberty remakes (only a few where made maybe 20) weighs 9.4 grams the Ancient Greece burial coin wieght is any thing lower then the the full Athena owl wieght if I'm not mistaken I should have a rare odd interesting coin anyway you look at it forgive me if you think I'm nuts but I can't help it it's creepy that I ended up with this coin but it's also exciting toI feel it came to me for me to give it an identity if anyone has any knowledge on the wilberty remakes and the original burial collectors coins please reply to this any help would be great I feel this is a mystery coin not just a bum copy it's to interesting to just accept that Thank you guys truely apreciate any help I can gethttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charon%27s_obolAnd here is the link for the Wilberty Yours replica scroll down a few coins to find it. http://athenianowlcoins.reidgold.com/replicas.html

IMO you piece is just a normal run of the mill tourist copy or museum gift shop cast copy made from base metal and electroplated with a silver looking metal.

Wow ... that huge long paragraph reply from the OP was impossible to read ... same as IMHO with no expertise this is impossible to be a genuine coin from the era represented.

Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.art
