I have been going through a lot of old nickels and found what I believe is a 1943/2. I'd love for you all to chime in on you're opinions. I can clearly see a 2 under the 3 but it doesn't have that tell tell blatant line from the bottom of the 3 to the middle of the 3. Maybe because it's too worn. Thanks for looking.

I'll post more picks, there is something stamped under it. I have to get to the bottom of this.

It's so hard to capture what I can see under magnification with light changes. I can CLEARLY see a 2 under there. And there is that ring under the 4 that the others have. I don't want to let this one go haha

Before you spend the money on a third-party grade please consider that the horizontal line through the bottom of the three also extends all the way over to the four. This shows it is not part of a 2. On the reverse the mint mark position of your coin does not match the position of the mint mark on the known reverse of this variety

Almost all of us have thought we found gold and had a hard time accepting that it isn't. This one isn't gold. Use your time to keep searching. I can see why you would ask, but this nickel has none of the required diagnostics for an overdate.

All I can do is use one of your images and compare it to mine that I do consider a 1943/2 circulated Jefferson Variety.

I do find it interesting that the stars look to be the same, but then maybe all the stars on all 1943 P nickels look like that? I don't know. I can't say for sure. This is one more for the error and variety guys.

Here is another example of one.
Note the mint mark location? Your coin is lower than the DDO example one. So it is not that die.
