I have attached photos of the obverse and reverse. I cannot identify this particular coin. Even if someone can help with a country or what the word next to the 50 on the obverse I would be very thankful!

Thanks!

The country is Greece. The word after 50 transliterates as "aspra", but I cannot figure out what coin it is, if it is indeed a coin.

It would help if you showed us both sides completely, not just closeups.

@jerome, first welcome to CCF. Second, the bits of your coin that I see look like a match for this one:

The "coin" is an unofficial coin, issued by the Franklin MInt and purporting to be in the name of the "order of Saint Dennis of Zante".

As for the OP's questions: the top pic has the word "tharros", which translates to "courage". The other two words in the obverse legend are "pistes" (faith) and "Iaswn" (Jason).

In the second pic, from the reverse, we have the word "ellenikon", meaning "Greek" or "Hellenic". "Tagma", the next word, means a division of soldiers; the English word "Order" is a better translation. Thus, "Ellenikon Tagma" means "Greek Order".

To the best of my knowledge, the "Sovereign Greek Order of Saint Dennis of Zante" isn't a "real" order issued by a government. It might be Masonic or something similar.
