Todays roll hunting find. Can some pros tell me the terms for the errors happening here? I see a rim Cud,ddd, and MD, but what is the error on the obverse rim called? And any others you can spot. Thank you

That's a very nice find you have here! That's a Cud (Major Die Break) from a piece of metal breaking off of the die. The other stuff you see like the roughness on the surface, that's just a plating issue from contaminates getting on the planchet or in the Copper plating solution.

I think this is still a rim Cud. I don't see where the area of weakness would show opposite that area on the reverse. The 'OF A' should be weak if this were a Die Cud.
