2009 100 Note, Is This My First Note Error?

Newbie234 Pillar of the Community United States 1386 Posts	Posted 03/31/2018 12:27 pm The paper around the blue strip is torn and hanging on by a thread. Just north of that the paper also looks torn. Is this an error? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated! Report this Post to the Staff

SteveInTampa Pillar of the Community United States 4637 Posts	Posted 03/31/2018 1:22 pm It appears to be post BEP, so as an experiment, I tried duplicating the same defect on a similar note. After maybe a minute, with a few common tools, I did the same thing. Since the security strip is imbedded, you can carefully pull back the paper that covers the strip. I'm not saying the OP's note was done intentionally, just showing how it can happen IRL . Report this Post to the Staff
