I think I might have found a 1992 d double die cent. I was going through about a 150, 1992 pennies I have looking for Close AM errors, and I came across this one that appears to have America doubled on the reverse especially the E-R-C. Let me know what you think. Sorry the photos are a little dark, the coin is red Brown and the light glares bad off of it.

It would be called a doubled die but yours is DDD or a plating issue,not a doubled die.

As already mentioned, Die Deterioration. As the die wears on the single squeeze dies, the wear appears beyond the device, but on the field area.

We often see this on the obverse side of cents:

How to identify it? It always flows towards the closest rim direction. Like on the coin above the date shows on the right side, LIBERTY shows on the left side and on the motto, it is on the tops of the devices as that is the direction of closest rim. No premium for these.
