I just bought this on a Danish auction site.

What would you guys say about this piece? I am not sure how great the pics will be, let's see.

Really hard to tell from those pics but it looks to be MS63 to 64'ish. Probably from the 1970's GSA hoard. Would be nice if it is still in the original GSA packaging!

Looks 64 from these pics. Frosting may be natural or due to a chemical rwaction (dip). Tough to tell.

It looks like a VAM-5B LDS, no dash under the second 8 and no die clash with letter transfer. The dies were freshened up after the clash event resulting in PL examples of which this one hints that it may be. MS64+

MS64PL, needs to be re-photographed with correct lighting, I agree with the above comments. A very nice CC Morgan.

Hello again,
Big thank you for all your comments, and sorry for the late answer. I am not a collector of US coins, but I was caught in the moment finding me bidding anyway. I paid around $300, which is probably more than enough, what do you say?

I must admit I do not bear any specialist knowledge on US coins, and I am not familiar with all the info on this coin here above, but I believe MS64 PL might be a very good guess for the grade.

I have one question: can I sell this coin in this forum with my current account? I mean, I am only allowed to buy items at this point, right? I have ben here about two years, but I am still a novice in using this site.

Regards,
Palle Rytter,

No, you must have at least 250 posts and have been a member for at least 90 days to sell items.

$300 sounds fine. I wouldn't sell it, it's a really nice Morgan dollar.

You can't sell on CCF anyway unless you have 250 posts and have been a member for 90 days.
