I'm am probably the most patient person you know. Why get upset? In thousand years, the discussions we have, will be null and void. Just noticed on the last image, you can see where the rim is bent our of round. Another thing that shows it happened after the strike.

I see now Coop. I understand it more clearly than I did before. I take back what I said on it being a real error. I was just confused a little bit at first. Take care Coop and have a great rest of your night.

So you are saying that this was caused by another coin when they were falling out of the machine? The amount of speed and power it would take for two coins colliding to cause this kind of damage is not consistent with coins falling off of a conveyer. Maybe if one of the coins was shout out of a gun

Correct. On your coin you can see where it had played bumper cars coming out of the machine. PSD (Post-Strike-Damage) I gave up on mint sets years ago. The coins in them were worse than the ones I could get in the OBW rolls from the bank. I tried it one time in 1999 and quit on 2000. They used to sell bags of 100 quarters from the mint. I thought that would be a good thing to save buying rolls then. But the coins in the bag look like the postman was using the box like a tambourine all the way here. They were worse than coins that were circulated for a couple of years. So no more of them either.

Common Ikes are cheap. I will try to emulate what I have seen here, with a shed job.

PMD, not an error. Quote: Sel are you saying that I did this myself? Are you calling me a liar? Are you being sarcastic? Sel didn't call you a liar.

No but I am confused I suppose. I thought Sel was saying thar I did tbis to the coin in a shed because Ikes are cheap lol. Sorry fellas. I just don't see how two coins striking each other could cause this tyle of damage unless they were extremely hot or moving at a very high rate of speed.

To be honest, I have no accurate idea how it was caused. I am by no means having a 'go' at anyone. I am just out to have a bit of experimental fun, for my own entertainment. Curiousity, I suppose. First of all, I have to get a couple of cheap Ikes.
