If you found similarly priced Indian Head cents, one being MS63RB and the other being MS64BN, which would you suggest? The RB will obviously have more mint luster while the BN would have less marks, in general. Both have eye appeal in different ways.

Suggestions?

There are too many factors at work to answer this in a simple way. Overall eye appeal is usually the guiding factor, but such a comparison would have to be judged (by us) based on pics of both specific coins.

Some of the most attractive IHCs Ive owned were BN.

Not all RB coins are equal either. Some are mostly red, some are mostly brown, so there is a large scale of variance for the color designation.

All other factors being equal I'd buy the 64BN assuming it had good eye appeal.

I am more drawn to brown cents than I am red-brown. However, overall eye appeal is important to me. I would need to see both in hand to compare before making a choice.

I'd say it's a matter of personal preference. Personally I pretend to prefer brown coin over of red-brown. Frankly I would prefer a 63 Brown over a 64 red-brown.

I found an MS62RB and an MS63RB that both look great to me. The 63 has a stronger strike. I'm guessing the 63 is a better choice.

Add me to the previous quotes. I really like a nice brown copper coin. Much prefer that to the red or RB alternatives. But, as has been stated it is certainly personal preference.

You really answered your own question as you seem to have a preference for that one which is always the right choice going with what you like better
