"The rarest Dime Ever - I took it to three local Coin dealers none of them would ok its authenticity. They said the chance of it being real would be very doubtful. But with that said it is what it is. If you want to take a chance on it you can. It looks real that's all I can say for sure. I took the best photos of it I could. If you purchase it you are taking a chance but it could be a huge reward. Just one other point there were several rarer Barber dimes in the batch but this was the only one like this."
Rest in Peace

I would suggest sending it to PCGS or NGC. They will be able to verify or not.

Even with bad pictures you can tell it doesn't look like a proof strike on a coin.

Read this on USA COin Book - unless 5 were "lost" along the way.

"The 1894 S silver Barber dime is one of the rarest and most valuable US coins ever made. During the early part of 1894 there were only 24 proof coins produced at the San Francisco mint that entire year. Only 9 of them are known to still exist. 7 of 9 are uncirculated and 2 are heavily worn."
