She said her grandfather saved it and gave it to her. It's quite tarnished, but I was able to get some photos of the details. I'm interested in your thoughts on it's condition. Google "PCGS Photograde" - excellent info on all U.S. coins for a good idea of grade. I would put this half in a nice plastic holder and place back in the envelope. The only plan I have for this, and all the coins in my collection, is to pass it on to whichever of my 13 grandchildren show a genuine interest in collecting. One thing they will have to pledge is that the coins that were in the envelope (there were others) are not for sale or to be traded. They stay in the family. Report this Post to the Staff
