1917 Lincoln Wheat Cent / LWC Canceled Planchette?

224 New Member United States 15 Posts	Posted 04/06/2018 6:42 pm Found an interesting LWC. I first thought this was just post mint damage until I saw a similar looking coin slabbed by NGC. That one was said to be on a canceled rupee. On my coin it is not an over stamp. Also on my coin the marks are square shaped. On the NGC coin they where diamond shaped marks. Numisma Pillar of the Community United States 4963 Posts	Posted 04/06/2018 7:44 pm Hmm, I don't know much about cancelled planchets, but I'm skeptical that it's an error since the marks aren't in the same direction (unless you have a rotated reverse as well, which is quite unlikely).
