1917 LWC Canceled Planchette?

Found an interesting LWC. I first thought this was just post mint damage until I saw a similar looking coin slabbed by NGC. That one was said to be on a canceled rupee. On my coin it is not an over stamp. Also on my coin the marks are square shaped. On the NGC coin they where diamond shaped marks.

Hmm, I don't know much about cancelled planchets, but I'm skeptical that it's an error since the marks aren't in the same direction (unless you have a rotated reverse as well, which is quite unlikely).
