Need Help With Peace Dollar Rim Error Or Damage?

Bubear New Member United States 6 Posts	Posted 04/08/2018 12:51 am Hi, I have what may be a collection of error coins, lowball coins, or damaged coins. I am hoping someone can tell me if they think the coin in the attached image is damaged or possibly has a rim or other kind of error. The rim, or band (collar?) near the word trust is completely missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. * Moved by Staff moved to a more appropriate forum. * Report this Post to the Staff

A pic of the reverse is needed to determine which. The serious rim dings have destroyed whatever numismatic value this common-date dollar once had. Worth silver value only IMO. Report this Post to the Staff

Not a ding, almost like the coin was squeezed. I have very little coin experience, and enjoy learning from this coin forum, and appreciate your input. Report this Post to the Staff
