Another one with rough seller pics. Zoomed in pictures dont show the color well, but the color is best represented by the zoomed out pictures. Thoughts ln this one?

EF max for me, small ding in the rim on the bottom left rim. Very nice. Got to get you one of those 1856's in that condition.

Nice strike and clean fields are a good start.

When looking at the 2nd pic, the fields have toned dark and the original color seems to only hug the letters and devices.

The coin looks ms64 or better, but at that level I would want a coin that is booming with luster.

Cannot tell if the luster has toned to that color, or if it was rubbed down.

Ms64 if the former, and au58 if the latter. I think you will need the coin in hand to parse that.

I don't like the discoloration hiding in the small crevices - including at the top of the tail feathers.

Has this coin been conserved?


I am with numismatic student on this one.......
