They are bidding on the coin like it is a proof. Interesting that on the 1850 the proof were struck from the same die pair at the business coins.

If it is a proof, it would be a nice score. I do not know how someone could prove it is a proof with the dies for the proofs and business being the same. Deep pockets seem to find a way of getting it done.
