Hello,

A small local auction in my area has this up for grabs. They are notorious for bad pictures and sometimes fakes.

Let me know your thoughts on authenticity and grade

Thank you

Pass on it, their reputation alone precludes buying.

Well, I'd say from its appearance that it's very unlikely to be a modern forgery. So even if not authentic, as a contemporary counterfeit it'd still have value. As long as the bidding doesn't get too much above supposed melt value, you'd be alright.
