Seems like an au-58 at least, IMHO.

Very cool double struck coin!
Hard to call them out on a 55/58 difference.

I call it an AU 58 for certain, and I'm really trying to see why it isn't an MS60, but I'll defer to the experts.

I'd really leave it as an AU 55, I don't see any gain in cracking it out or arguing. Just be sure to raise the price to near AU 58 territory and say it's undergraded, lots of folks will agree with you.

Can't compare an overgraded NGC holder to the OP coin. But I see your point.

paxbrit, thanks, and agree. I'll definitely leave it be, this one will lay in the pile for some time.

Thanks for the comments everyone. This is the most expensive silver I've ever purchased, this type has been on my want list for a while and this was the nicest one I've seen at an "affordable" price. Really happy with the coin, regardless of the grade.

It's a beautiful coin, something to be proud of while you have custody of it. Nicest one I've ever seen, maybe ten or so.

Be sure to write it up as undergraded on a card or something and keep that with the slab, for posterity.

I am perfectly happy with AU55.
If it were graded in the British system, it would get EF.
Also agree with BigSilver.

Lovely coin.

Maybe the strike is the rough rim, particularly at the bottom and on the reverse? Otherwise a most beautiful coin! I'd be proud if it!
