I have been trying to research out this medal (I think it's a medal) No luck finding anywhere. Wondering if anyone knows something about it. It's got some markings on the side 0680 [68] [P] and something else as well Appreciate any help, if anyone knows, thanks!

I did a google search for Medal of King Saul, a reference to a "Jewish Mint" came up, but couldn't copy it on my tablet, can't find it now with comp, arrgh! It had groups of Biblical Old Testament figures it seemed. Mayybe this was a series of theirs or similar...might try "Warrior Kings of Judeah" and that line?
It is definitely a private mint issued coin, not Catholic I don't think, Saul weren't no Saint! Possibly Jewish or Christian in nature, as a representation of "Famous Biblical Figures" David, Moses and other Kings.

Try a very patient and persistent search on Google Images.

This is typical of privately-minted Biblically-themed medals targeted to the tourist trade. Search ebay for [ Israel Medal ] - sorting by price, low to high - and, in addition to the genuine government products, you find items like these. Cheers, /s/ ikeyPikey

The edge markings sound like what Franklin Mint put on their medals. I think I can also see the FM monogram at the bottom of the reverse.
I would assume it's part of a "Characters of the Bible" medal set.

thanks for feedback so far, I did google quite a bit and ebay as well, did not find exact same examples. I have another, I guess from the set. Here is those markings on side. I'm wondering these "bible themed" medals are they collectible quite a bit ?

I would start with the assumption that this token is worth only the melt value and then be pleasantly surprised if someone wanted to give more than that to me. I'm sure that someone paid a significant premium for them, but I don't see why they would command this on the secondary market. (I also don't see why someone would pay much over melt even right from the manufacturer/marketer, but that is a different discussion.)

If this medal is a Franklin Mint product, this page explains the edge markings http://www.franklin-mint-silver.com...ormation.htmThis area is not an area where I am versed in what medals are worth. I can only add to check ebay sold listings to see what other similar themed medals sold for. -MV
