The 16-S obverse shows a nice Fine grade , need to show us pic of reverse . The first 56 is a damaged cull . The 2nd 56 from obverse pic shows an average circulated Wheat cent .

Those pennies are called "Wheat Cents". They were made from 1909 till 1958.

Are you sure you didn't mismatch the pictures?  The memorial reverse was introduced in 1959- the 1956 cents should have the wheat ear reverse, like your 16 S.
