I found this 1982 D small date LMC with what appears to be doubled on the ear. It is probably a contact mark but I added a pic of a 1982 D large date LMC that is doubled and on Variety Vista. Insight please.

Small date. The mark on the ear is coin damage. Not a doubled ear. A doubled ear would be enlarged, not reduced in size. So either another coin altered it or the die touched that area reducing that area.

When I louped the ear that was my initial thought considering it is slightly flattened but I ask if I'm not quite sure. Thanks Mr. Coop!
