I can't get the pictures to download for some reason. I know everyone will say I need pictures.
I have 2 Lincoln cents I'm curious about. First one is a 1968 P that has a YY in liberty there is no T just 2 YYs.
The second one is a 1962 D with no copper on either side or around the rim. Not sure what it is. It is very dark.

Correct. We'll need photos to be able to offer an opinion on the coin.

From your description the 1968 sounds like the "T" got damaged.
The 1962 might be plated.

@DCJM4, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes for sure pics are needed. I wonder if your first cent has some damage to the letter T that has caused it to look somewhat like a letter Y. We see all sorts of wacky damage, and it wouldn't surprise me if that is the case for this coin. You can be very sure that your coin did not leave the US mint with a mis-spelling.

The extra Y is either a well placed hit, or a die chip, perhaps.

The discoloration is almost certainly environmental damage.

Without pics, those are my guesses.

Without pictures, that's the best we can do. I'm definitely thinking damage on the T rather than a die chip, but of course I can't be sure.

Here is the tutorial about uploading and posting images

And here is the CCF Free Image Optimizer to help crop your images. Please preview your post/pictures to be sure they are rotated correctly.
