1987 D Nickel Lamination Flaw? - Coin Community Forum

Shoesnsocks Valued Member United States 114 Posts	Posted 04/26/2018 9:47 pm I came across this nickel the other day and thought it was PMD but now I'm unsure. The spot on the rim looks like it has two lamination error flaps. On the obverse, the inside of the rim is dented inwards which makes me think PMD, but the little flaps got me wondering. Could a laminaton flaw even happen on a rim like this? Report this Post to the Staff

That rim could be extra heavy--perhaps this coin was spooned or is a Dryer Coin? More pics will help.
