1987 D Nickel Lamination Flaw?

I came across this nickel the other day and thought it was PMD but now I'm unsure. The spot on the rim looks like it has two lamination error flaps. On the obverse, the inside of the rim is dented inwards which makes me think PMD, but the little flaps got me wondering. Could a laminaton flaw even happen on a rim like this?

What does the rim look lik? If it is bent inwards, then it is damage. We see the edge so far.

Yes, please post pics of the front and back of this coin. That rim could be extra heavy--perhaps this coin was spooned or is a Dryer Coin? More pics will help.

I dont have a good shot of the reverse right now, but it's
not bent inwards at all

Looks like it was jammed in a moving door/walkway etc, jus damaged, no mint error, not even a garage imp job.

Since the rim is bent inward, even if just one side, that tells me it is damage.
