Your topic's title is confusing! are you just sharing this zinc rotted penny or do you have a question about it? because there is nothing on it that would be considered error

The rim around the penny isn't raised like all the other ones it's like the center of the coin is higher then the edge.

@suspense, yes I see what you are seeing. The rim of your cent was damaged, exposing the zinc core. This has caused the rim to preferentially corrode. You can seafely spend this one.

I think I'll keep it and see how long it takes for the rot to totally consume it.
I made a promised the ladies I would clean out any cruddy coins from the rolls they save for me.
