Can anybody help me with this item?
My referneces do not go back that far.
It is about 15 mm in diameter.
I am not sure what it is made of.
Could be silver - but it doesn't look right

The coat of arms on the "obverse", with the three antler-thingys on the left side, is very distinctively that of Württemberg, which tells you where it comes from. It was a duchy at the time. Fortunately, Württemberg is one of the German states which has a relatively complete listing in Krause. At 15mm, this one's likely to be a 1 kreuzer, KM# 249 - a fact confirmed by the "1K" above the shield on the reverse.

It'll be silver, but not very good silver. Krause calls it "silver" rather than "billon", but doesn't specify a fineness. It's probably below .500 fine.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
