Hi,
I was looking at the list of members that are currently online, and noticed that there is a member "Admin" who is online. I am curious about who Admin is. I always assumed that Bobby was the forum administrator. (Sorry about cluttering the forum with an unimportant topic. Just was curious after seeing Admin online.)
Thanks.

I would presume that there are a couple of Administrators overseeing the forum. I am pretty sure that Bobby131313 is "Forum Dad". I have been wrong before.

Not impossible that it's a separate account purely for administrative purposes, so whoever owns it can participate in the forum without cluttering their page or accidentally deleting things.

If I'm giving up a secret then please delete, but Bobby, forum dad and Admin. are all the same person. There I've said it.

What I think: the moderators generally have admin authority, but there are certain things with the forum maintenance that are Admin specific. Also sometimes users pay more attention if they are scolded corrected by the Admin.

Thanks mcshilling and Fuzzy. For a minute, I was thinking "I thought Bobby was the CCF admin..." Quote: Also sometimes users pay more attention if they are scolded corrected by the Admin. Looking at post history, it appears that Admin has, er, corrected many a user.

Same reason as to why you don't give admin privs to your windows user account, or you don't make your Linux account a member of group 0 (root). It's an extra circuit breaker step to make you think - do I really want to execute rm / -rf?

Quote: accidentally deleting things. I seem to recall an event like that happening recently...
