Just wondering if anyone has made the foray into trying to assemble a complete set of flowing hair/bust dollars? That would be from 1794 to 1803.
(Note: If the answer is yes and you plan to post pictures, please give a warning that we should have a napkin handy to mop up the drool.)

Question about the clouds above the stars on the reverse: are they really "clouds?" Any reason for this particular artistic device--does it have any meaning?

The heraldic Eagle device is based on the great seal of the United States which has above the Eagle's head 13 stars surrounded by a circle of clouds with a glory of rays extending out between them. Basically indicating the sky or heavens. There is no glory on the heraldic Eagle dollar but the star cloud still indicates the heavens.

I don't have any, but I do hope to own one some say. My choice would be a 1795 FH. The obverse portrait captures my attention more. Someday...
